I met this little girl and her chihuahua mix at tianguis
Fearless black lab stands on the bow of his master's sailing dink as they cruise by a flock of dozing pelicans

Every morning we load Chica and Sofia in the dinghy after the Morning Net, and run them over to the beach at the golf course. Chica has become adept at chasing balls, and since she doesn't care for sand in her mouth, she has learned to wash the ball each time before another throw. Of course, it just lands in the sand again. She hasn't learned to catch in midair yet.

Five dogs live on the Isla de Perros (my name for it) in the Barra Laguna where we're anchored. A man comes over by panga every morning to feed them. The big yellow lab swims out several yards now and then. My guess is that they're guard dogs.

LOVE it - their own island and everything!
I am glad to finally see the five dogs you mentioned earlier. I wondered who was feeding them on the island. Put me down as a big dog guy. One lesson I had to learn the hard way in Mexico: there is a good reason why locals always ask -- Does your dog bite? Because most local dogs do.
Awwwwwwwww so cute!!! I want that ickle one at the top! I want one! I want one!
I'd have loved to take the kayak over and visit the Island Dogs, but it's true, they might bite. I've watched people playing with their puppies here in Mexico, and they seem to encourage biting behavior. They think it's cute, and then when the dog's grown, it's not so cute.
