If I ever have another cat I'm training it to use the toilet. We loved our cat but hated the smell of the cat box... but with 4 of us we kept it pretty cleaned out. She almost quit going because there was always someone wait on her.
Jomamma - The instructions here have worked for some people, I know. Takes a lot of patience, but wouldn't that be some cat, if he could do it! I'm curious now, whether a female or male would be easier to train.
The impossible dream is to get a dog to do this.

I think dogs are smart not to drink from their toilet.... the one THEY use.
Maybe if you had one of those push-button toilets then the cat could just hop up and stand on the button.
